The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

Release Date: June 10, 2014

An action-packed, blood-soaked, futuristic debut thriller set in a world where the murder rate is higher than the birthrate.

Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex, an organization that tracks the population with precision.

The plot starts to thicken when Meadow meets Zephyr James, who is—although he doesn’t know it—one of the MC’s programmed assassins. Is their meeting a coincidence? Destiny? Or part of a terrifying strategy? And will Zephyr keep Meadow from discovering the haunting truth about her family?

Action-packed, blood-soaked, and chilling, this is a dark and compelling debut novel by Lindsay Cummings.
This is my first Waiting On Wednesday, and I'm dedicating it to The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings! It feels like I've been waiting for it for ages, even though it's only been 5 or 6 months. (Too long if you ask me).

I love action-packed thrillers, so this being full of danger, action, copious amount of blood, young adults (kids, basically), family secrets, and a staggering rate of assassinations as a part of their world, I thought it would be the just book for me. And a world where the "murder rate is higher than the birthrate"!? I don't know about you, but it makes me wonder what happens when everyone is slaughtered to pieces, who will survive, and will they ever overcome this world that's become their life.

Even though this is Lindsay's debut novel, I have faith that she will deliver a bone-chilling, adrenaline-rushing and compelling read. One I cannot wait to get my grabby hands on! JUNE, HURRY UP.
